Muhammad Ali

Muhammad Ali is one of the most recognizable athletes of the 20th century. It all began in 1960 when Ali won the Olympic Gold Medal. Back then as Cassius Clay he went on to fight as a proffesional and in one of the biggest upsets in boxing history Clay shocked the world by beating Sonny Liston to become the heaveyweight champion of the world. For their rematch Clay now known as Muhammad Ali knocked Liston out in what has become known as the phantom punch, in which can be seen above in the autographed photo of Ali standing over a knocked out Liston. During his career Ali had many memorable fights such has 3 fights against Joe Frazier. Perhaps none was as memorable as his fight against George Foreman, after being kicked out of boxing for refusing to join the Army, Ali returned to defeat George Foreman to win his title back, which was taken a way from him. His great natural ability and his charasmatic personality has made him one of the most beloved althletes of all time.
